A Handbook for Parents: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, made possible through generous donations of AHLA members, was created to help those caring for children with disabilities better understand a child’s right to the numerous benefits afforded by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This law provides federal funding to states and local school districts so that infants, toddlers, pre-school, and school-age children with disabilities can receive the services they need.
