Trump Administration Has Reportedly Escalated Response To New Coronavirus Outbreak

CNN (2/7, Diamond, Liptak, Cohen) reported that within “the first weeks of the coronavirus outbreak, the Trump administration took a measured, incremental approach: implementing screenings at US airports and issuing a China travel advisory as the virus spread overseas.” However, with the number of cases increasing, Administration officials “have sharply escalated their response amid fears of a contagion coming to the US.” President Trump “has now issued strict new measures, including unprecedented quarantines and new travel bans.”
