Paula G. Sanders focuses her practice exclusively on health care law. She represents clients on both the substantive and procedural aspects of health facility regulation, such as licensure, Medicare and Medicaid survey and certification, HIPAA, compliance, accreditation, payment matters, fraud and abuse, and federal and state anti-kickback laws. Ms. Sanders is skilled in dealing with multiple regulatory and law enforcement agencies and coordinating an integrated response to their issues.
Ms. Sander's clients include hospitals and academic medical centers, long-term care and assisted living providers, and specialty providers such as institutional pharmacies, DME companies, home health, hospice and rehabilitation providers, as well as mental health/mental retardation providers. She is counsel to the Pennsylvania Association of County and County-Affiliated Homes, a position which has given her the opportunity to develop a specialized skill in dealing with state and federal agencies including CMS and the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Program. Most recently, she became an editorial advisory board member for Eli Healthcare's Long-Term Care Survey Alert.
Ms. Sanders speaks and writes extensively to further the knowledge and understanding of her clients and professional colleagues on topics that affect hospitals, long-term care facilities, senior service providers and other health care providers. She was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for Health Care by her peers in 2006, 2005 and 2004.
