As Chief Counsel for Health Affairs, Jane Jordan is responsible for providing advice to and representing Emory’s various health care entities, including Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center and its components. She works closely with the Chairman and CEO of Emory Healthcare as well as the senior management of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center, serving as lead attorney in advising the Boards of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and Emory Healthcare. She is a member of the Woodruff and Emory Healthcare executive management team and is the corporate secretary for Emory Healthcare. 

She is also Deputy General Counsel for Emory University, working with all schools and units of Emory University, managing the in-house attorneys working in the areas of research, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory affairs, contracts, labor and employment law, tax, trusts and estates, risk management, issues, intellectual property, and general business law. 

Prior to her current position, she was a partner in the Health Law Section in the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, L.L.P. and was a partner at Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP. She received her B.A. from Furman University, magna cum laude, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina, where she was President of the Moot Court Bar. Prior to private practice, she was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Vining, Jr., United States District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia.
