Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City Hotel
Arlington, VA

Program Description

View the Brochure

This program narrows in on IRS regulations, exemption standards, and enforcement initiatives, key tax issues and laws on state and federal exchanges, and the ACA and tax issues. H.R. 1 (Pub. L. No. 115-97) was signed into law December 22, 2017. The 2017 Tax Act contains (among other things) certain changes of interest to health care organizations, their counsel, and other professional advisors. The program will cover the changes in the new tax law and topics that continue to be of interest to tax health care professionals.

We are excited to have representatives from the IRS and tax experts open the program covering the new tax law developments in Unrelated Business Income Tax and Exempt Organization Business Activities and Compensation and Benefits. During the 2 day program, our faculty of experts will delve deep into issues and offer insight and solutions to the most significant tax issues for health care organizations. In-depth breakout sessions include:

  • Lessons Learned: Preparing for Future 501(r) Audits
  • Staying up to Date–Form 990 Reporting, Filing, and Accounting
  • Update on Tax-Exempt Bonds
  • Managing the Tax Consequences of Alternative Investments
  • Navigating Changes to Executive Compensation and Fringe Benefits Interactive Session

The program includes several informal networking opportunities where you can meet others who face similar day-to-day issues and can come up with solutions together. Some of the best networking happens in sessions, at breakfast, and during the receptions. We also encourage you to register for an additional learning opportunity, the Tax and Finance Practice Group luncheon. Whether you are a generalist who needs to know tax issues or a certified tax expert, you will not want to miss the Tax Issues for Health Care Organizations program!
