Providing a reporter’s perspective, Kimberly Leonard, will delve into what she is hearing on the Hill in the health care space.
Kimberly Leonard has been a senior health care writer since 2017 for the Washington Examiner, where she contributes to the Daily on Healthcare newsletter, files breaking pieces on policy and politics throughout the day and reports in-depth stories for the weekly magazine. Her stories are reported from Congress, the White House, the Department of Health and Human Services and association meetings across Washington, D.C.
She has appeared at live events and multiple radio outlets, as well as CNN, Fox News and C-SPAN. She previously covered healthcare for U.S. News & World Report, where she wrote about the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, social issues in medicine and health industry trends.
She is the D.C.-chapter co-chair for the Association of Health Care Journalists and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post, Kaiser Health News and The Atlantic.
