The Department of Justice’s Barrier-Free Health Care Initiative, through which the DOJ has targeted enforcement efforts on individuals with disabilities’ access to medical services and facilities. The Barrier-Free Health Care Initiative includes effective communication for people who are deaf or have hearing loss, physical access to medical care for people with mobility disabilities, and equal access to treatment for people who have HIV/AIDS. Mr. Gordon was lead attorney on several ADA cases that involved skilled nursing facilities.
This event is not included in the program registration. There is an additional fee of $60 for members of the sponsoring Practice Groups and $70 for non-members; limited attendance; pre-registration required. Continuing Legal Education Credits are not available for the luncheon.
