The Health Care Transactions Program is a unique opportunity to learn latest commercial developments, strategies and deal forecasts from noted experts. Gain insight into the business and legal issues involving contemporary health care business transactions, including emerging care models, M&A trends, financing techniques, deal risk management strategies, post integration lessons, and many more. The program will also present a unique opportunity to network with leading health care executives, attorneys, investment bankers, valuation experts and other health care consultants and advisors from across the country, who are recognized deal-makers and shakers in the health care community.

In-depth breakout sessions will include:

The program offers many opportunities to network with your peers at the continental breakfasts each morning and networking reception on Tuesday following the sessions. Program Materials

We will not automatically be printing binders for everyone. All materials will be available on a website prior to the program and handed out on a flash drive at the program. For those who still do want the binder they will be available for an additional fee; please order on the registration form.

All registrants will receive an email a week prior to the program with a link to the materials. This website is for attendees only and is not posted to the public. Cancellation / Substitutions

Cancellations must be received in writing by May 4, 2016. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after the cancellation date. Registration fee, minus the $125 administrative fee, will be refunded approximately 3-4 weeks following the program. If you wish to send a substitute, need more information regarding refund, complaint and program cancellation policies please call (202) 833-1100 prompt #5. Note that the registration fee is based on the AHLA membership status of the individual who actually attends the program.

Continuing Education

CLE/MCLE: AHLA will be applying for 11.0 credits (including 1.0 ethics credits) for 60-minute states and approximately 13.2 (including 1.2 ethics credits) credits for 50-minute states. The number of credits approved may vary state to state. Introductory remarks, breaks, luncheons, and receptions are not included in the computation of credit hours. Participants will be given CLE Request forms at the program. Forms must be completed and returned to AHLA staff to receive credit. The sessions, unless otherwise designated, are intermediate to advanced in level. There are no prerequisites required to register for this program.

CPE: This seminar will be worth approximately 13.0 CPE credits. AHLA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. CCB: AHLA is approved for 13.2 Compliance Certification Board (CCB) credits.

This program is designed to be an update on developments in the area of health care transactions. There are no prerequisites or advanced preparations required to register for this group live program. Those seeking accounting credits should be familiar with the basic concepts of law and terminology associated with this area in order to obtain the full educational benefit of this program.
