About the Presenter


Matthew Fisher is an associate with Mirick O'Connell DeMallie & Lougee LLP. He is a member of the firm's Litigation Group and focuses his practice on health law and business litigation.

Fisher's health law practice includes advising clients with regulatory compliance and medical malpractice issues. With regard to regulatory compliance, Fisher advises clients to ensure contracts and business arrangements meet both federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements. Fisher represents physicians, medical providers, and hospitals in cases involving medical liability. Fisher is the chair of the ABA Young Lawyers Division Health Law Committee.

In addition, Fisher represents clients in various types of business disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract. He also assists clients in all aspects of creditors' rights litigation, including recovery of property, collection of money, defense of lender liability claims, and preference claims in bankruptcy proceedings.

In 2011, Fisher was named a Massachusetts "Rising Star" by Boston magazine and Law & Politics.
