U.S. Supreme Court Denies Review of D.C. Circuit's Decision That Had Upheld Dismissal of Qui Tam Action Against Hospital

The U.S. Supreme Court denied review of a D.C. Circuit decision that had upheld the dismissal of a qui tam relator's Medicare fraud action against a hospital because relator had failed to allege charges with sufficient specificity and because discovery by relator would be a fishing expedition based on vague and unsubstantiated claims. The D.C. Circuit's unpublished opinion was issued October 19, 1999.
