J. Greenburg (1925-2007) was the founder of both the Academy of
American Healthcare Attorneys in 1967 and the National Health Lawyers
Association in 1971, the organizations that came together to form AHLA. David
was interested in creating a specialty of health law, and he worked tirelessly
to create a collegial community of professionals helping each other and the
public, a tradition that AHLA continues today. Watch a
video tribute or read
memories from from David's colleagues.
AHLA’s success today is due
in large part to Mr. Greenburg’s creativity, entrepreneurship, and vision.
