This presentation provided a brief overview of certain fraud and abuse and related valuation topics associated with the development of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). Panelists discussed implications for the utilization of ACO waivers (and the role of fair market value), as well as mechanisms for identifying and addressing compliance issues related to the capital formation aspects of developing ACOs.
