Summary:
New Vice Chair Tim Adelman welcomed attendees and introduced Michael Callahan of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Mr. Callahan spoke on �New Joint Commission Standards Affecting Hospital/Physician Relations.� His presentation highlighted some of the main areas of change in the Joint Commission's revised Medical Staff Standards, including MS.1.20, the new Evidence-Based Privilege Standards, economic credentialing, and disruptive physicians. Mr. Callahan also discussed alternative methods of compliance.
