Title: National Practitioner Data Bank: Changing Times

With the implementation of Section 1921 of the Social Security Act and the enactment of healthcare reform, the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) is expanded to collect and disseminate adverse information beyond actions based on professional competence and conduct on physicians and dentists. This presentation described the regulatory and policy impact of the changes on the NPDB, including draft NPDB Guidebook changes.
