AHLA has a wonderful tradition of members sharing their expertise and insight with each other. Members who give to each other through speaking, writing and other service to the organization are recognized and often asked to participate in one of the many leadership positions available. At last count, there are at least 350 leadership positions in the Association.
AHLA is governed by a Board of 28 members. The Board of Directors meets twice a year in person and several times a year by phone conference. Board members serve on the following Committees: Executive, Finance, Membership, Mentoring, Nominating, Practice Groups, Professional Resources, Programs, and Public Interest, in addition to several Councils (Diversity+Inclusion; Dispute Resolution; Young Professionals), Task Forces, and other groups.
“Call for Leaders” forms for Board nominations and other Committee and Council positions are posted throughout the year on our volunteer page. Learn more about the AHLA Fellows, the David J. Greenburg Award, Top Honors, and other AHLA recognitions by visiting our Recognitions page.
