Be sure to check out the latest posting on our SCOTUS: ACA Challenge Blog. The Supreme Court’s decision on the healthcare reform law is  expected out in the next month, and AHLA continues to follow this important event.  Listen to an animated and unique debate that was held at AHLA/FDLI  conference “The Intersecting Worlds of Drug, Device, Biologics, and Health Law” on May 22, 2012 in Washington, DC.  The session is entitled “The Supreme Court Argument and Its Impact on the Future of the Affordable Care Act.”  Martin H. Redish, professor of law and policy at Northwestern University School of Law and Michael A. Carvin of Jones Day, Washington each offer an energetic vision on whether the necessary and proper clause can only be used to remove barriers to commerce or whether it can be used to find solutions to a problem.
