Complimentary Webinar: An Introduction to Social Impact Bonds

Wednesday, April 23, 2014
10:15 am-12:00 pm Eastern
The Florida Chronic Disease Prevention Coalition is hosting a complimentary webinar on public health law research and social impact bonds (SIBs). Cason Schmit, an attorney and legal analyst with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Public Health Law Program, will offer an overview of SIBs and their potential impact on public health. He will describe how they are used across the globe to address public health issues such as asthma, early-childhood health, and diabetes. The webinar will provide case studies highlighting legal approaches states took to use SIBs. This webinar can help public health practitioners responsible for financing and funding, as well as groups and organizations that inform state and local governing bodies about public health programs and initiatives.
