Title: Settlement Impact on AWP Drug Pricing for Payors, Pharmacies, PBMs, and Consumers
Description:
First Data Bank (FDB) is the prescription drug industry’s largest publisher of average wholesale price (AWP) data, which is used to derive drug prices at the consumer end of the United States drug distribution system. The proposed settlements arising from the New England Carpenters v. First DataBank & McKesson Corp. litigation requires, in part, FDB and Medi-Span to rollback many prices on its published lists. This luncheon presentation will discuss the far-reaching impact of the current settlement on the healthcare industry, including the contracts among payors, pharmacy benefit managers, and pharmacy providers.
