The panelists will discuss how life sciences companies and healthcare providers can protect the privacy and security of health information as required under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and other federal and state laws while making effective use of databases and biorepositories for research, quality improvement, product safety, and efficacy surveillance and reporting, personalized medicine, and general electronic health information exchange.
