Title: I Went to Law SchoolHow in the World Am I Supposed to Help With Quality Initiatives?

Description:

Hospitals and physicians worry about quality, but there is also a place for lawyers in quality initiatives. Lawyers must turn ideas into descriptions of what can be measured and into actual commitments. They must work with credentialing, privileging, and medical staff issues related to quality. They must turn quality initiatives into contracts and policies for hospitals, physicians, managed care organizations, accrediting organizations, and others. This luncheon presentaiton will explain:

  • Current trends in developing actual quality metrics;
    • What is being measured and how;
    • Reporting metric data;
  • Practicalities in translating quality issues into binding contracts.

Presenter:

Robin Locke Nagele, Esquire
Principal
Post & Schell PC
Philadelphia, PA
