Fraud and Abuse Practice Group Mid-Year Luncheon

Sponsored by PYA
Monday, September 26, 2011
At the 2011 Fraud and Compliance Forum

Title: We Are From the Government, and We Are Here to Help You, Really, We Are

Description:

How many times have you wondered whether representatives from the government are really there to help you or your clients? Well, in Baltimore September 26, 2011, at the Fraud and Abuse Practice Group Mid-Year Luncheon, two representatives from the government engaged in an informal roundtable discussion about healthcare fraud and abuse issues. Our speakers, Greg Demske, Assistant Inspector General for Legal Affairs, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General (OIG), and Roann Nichols, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Health Care Fraud Coordinator, District of Maryland, discussed recent OIG and U.S. Department of Justice enforcement and exclusion trends, and answered "hypothetical" questions. Fraud PG Vice Chair of Educational Programs Carol Poindexter, Partner at Shook Hardy & Bacon LLP in Kansas City, MO, moderated this call discussion.

Panelists:

    Greg Demske
Assistant Inspector General for Legal Affairs
    HHS OIG
    Washington, DC
    Roann Nichols
