I’m Not an Antitrust Lawyer, So Why Should I Join the Antitrust Practice Group?

You don’t need to be an antitrust lawyer to benefit from the Antitrust Practice Group. Antitrust laws affect practically every area of health law. In fact, for general healthcare attorneys, the benefits are even greater, as membership provides timely access to critical antitrust developments that have the potential to sideline an important and costly deal, or result in expensive antitrust litigation. Additionally, healthcare competition issues may play a larger role in the current healthcare reform debate. Examples of important topics addressed by the Antitrust Practice Group include:

  • Communications with competitors;
  • Creation of standards, clinical protocols, etc.;
  • Affiliations and joint ventures with competitors;
  • Exclusive contracts for services and provider contracting through a network;
  • Medical staff credentialing and disciplinary issues; and
  • Exclusion of competitors from health plan networks.

As a member of the Antitrust Practice Group you will receive:

Antitrust law is one of the most fascinating and dynamic areas of health law. Please join us in the Antitrust Practice Group!
