AHLA's membership has grown to nearly 13,000 attorneys, public interest professionals, academicians, compliance officers, policy experts, and more. Sometimes we all need a little proof that our investments in life will truly yield a benefit. Below are testimonials from AHLA members on how their experiences as AHLA members have helped them on a professional, social, and educational level.

“I have been a member of AHLA for several years. I have found this membership to be invaluable to me as a professional who works collaboratively with healthcare attorneys and health system executives on a variety of transactions. The networking opportunities afforded by AHLA are outstanding. I have found the educational offerings to be invaluable in helping me stay abreast of current issues in the industry and very thought provoking in helping me devise creative solutions for my clients. I am confident the professionals I interact with through AHLA are the top in their field and my clients will receive sound, creative advice based upon the latest developments in the industry. I would highly recommend that anyone who regularly works in the healthcare industry maintain a membership in AHLA to ensure they are provided the resources needed to perform at a high level as an advisor to the healthcare industry."

"I started attending AHLA events in 2001 and immediately found the programs and networking highly valuable as a health care consultant. They offer a varying degree of topic levels from beginner to advanced which helps build your knowledge base and the programs speakers have very deep health care industry experience which I can immediately share with my clients. Given the high level of government involvement in health care it is imperative that a consultant have an awareness of the possible legal hurdles and know when to ask for help. AHLA members are a very welcoming community who love to discuss and debate health care topics ranging from basic transaction structures to the future of our country. There are many opportunities to get involved through the various Practice and Affinity Groups and the relationships you build will last throughout your career."

"For many years now, our firm, PYA, has invested in AHLA in many ways: session instructor, member, practice group participant, and as a conference sponsor. Without a doubt, AHLA has proven to be the most worthwhile investment for our firm, when compared to other similar trade association organizations. This is due to the quality of the programs, the speaker selection process, the appreciation expressed by the members to the sponsors, and the overall opportunities for our firm to find ways to assist new clients. I highly recommend AHLA as an organization in which to actively participate for lawyers and any other professional actively involved in the health care industry."

"AHLA membership has been equally (if not more) valuable to me as a health care consultant than as a lawyer. The most obvious benefit of AHLA membership is the abundance of fantastic networking opportunities that membership in an organization such as this one provides. Active participation in AHLA practice groups, events and programs provides opportunities for meaningful interactions (and great friendships) with health care-focused professionals from all across the United States. However, even more valuable than the fantastic networking opportunities are the many excellent and timely educational resources for members, particularly through the subject-matter focused practice groups and affinity groups. Thoughtful member e-mail alerts, listserv discussions, webinars, in-person programs, and print publications such as the AHLA Connections magazine and Practice Group newsletters each provide a window to the important issues of the day for our industry. The perspective from that window helps me to better identify and address client needs, and makes me better at doing the work that I do."
