FTC v. ProMedica: Views from Both Sides of a Contested Hospital Merger

Monday, April 30, 2012
This webinar is brought to you by the Antitrust Practice Group and is co-sponsored by the Hospitals and Health Systems, Physician Organizations, and Payors, Plans, and Managed CarePractice Groups

Please note: This webinar was moved from March 26 to April 30.

Description

A U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) administrative law judge (ALJ) recently blocked ProMedica Health System’s acquisition of St. Luke’s Hospital in Toledo, OH. The decision followed a contested hearing that spanned several months. In this program, the two lead trial lawyers from that proceeding will discuss some of the key issues arising out of the trial and the ALJ’s opinion. This webinar will provide valuable insights into healthcare mergers and the FTC’s response to such mergers.
