Medicaid “Never Events” and Long Term Care: Just What the Doctor Ordered or Recipe for Disaster?

Wednesday, November 9, 2011
This webinar is brought to you by the Long Term Care, Senior Housing, In-Home Care, and Rehabilitation Practice Group.

Description

In June, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services published a final rule that prohibits Medicaid payments to states for any amounts expended providing medical assistance for healthcare-acquired conditions in hospital settings and other provider-preventable conditions (OPPCs) in non-hospital settings, including nursing facilities. While the rule establishes the framework for establishing the OPPCs, it is incumbent on each individual state to determine what the OPPCs will be for that state. Join  us for an engaging examination of the final rule and its anticipated effect on long term care providers.
