Co-sponsored by the Healthcare Liability and Litigation and Payors, Plans, and Managed Care Practice Groups
The webinar will provide an intermediate-level update on managed care litigation over the past year, and highlight the practical implications of key decisions and verdicts for payors and providers. The litigation areas covered by the update will include: non-par litigation; provider class actions (e.g., silent PPOs); provider actions against payors’ third-party reviewers and contractors; member litigation against payors and providers (e.g., rescission); members’ challenges to state-funded managed care programs (e.g., Medicaid); and payors’ fraud-and-abuse actions against drug and device companies.
Additionally, the webinar will discuss the impact of healthcare reform on the existing litigation landscape, and identify the HCR provisions that are most likely to create payor-provider litigation.
