Sponsored by the Payors, Plans, and Managed Care Practice Group
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) of 2010 contains many provisions that have an immediate impact on health plans and other payors. This webinar will discuss several of the Act's short-term market reforms, with a focus on:
- new coverage requirements, including mandatory coverage of children's preexisting conditions, coverage of dependents up to age 26, and prohibition on coverage rescissions;
- benefit mandates, such as first-dollar coverage of preventive care, limitations on annual and lifetime limits on benefits and requirements concerning internal and external appeals processes; and
- grandfathering status and implications for self-funded plans and fully-insured products
