Co-Management Arrangements: Legal, Structural, and FMV Implications

Tuesday, May 11, 2010
Co-sponsored by the Fraud and Abuse; Hospitals and Health Systems; In-House Counsel; Physician Organizations; and Regulation, Accreditation, and Payment Practice Groups

Description

This webinar presentation will address the ongoing trend of hospitals and health systems engaging physicians utilizing incentive-based compensation models, with a specific emphasis on one of the most common forms of these partnerships that has emerged in the past few years: the service-line co-management arrangement. The webinar will address both the unique structural and regulatory concerns that must be considered in establishing these arrangements, including a discussion on the current legal status (i.e., the proposed Stark Rule on incentive payment and shared-cost programs). In addition, the presentation will incorporate a review of the specific FMV aspects that must be considered given the uniqueness of each arrangement from hospital to hospital.

This presentation is a repeat of the September 30, 2009, webinar, Co-Management Arrangements: Legal, Structural, and FMV Implications.
