Program Description

The Long Term Care and the Law program is designed to address the legal and operational challenges faced by nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies and other long term care providers. In-house and outside counsel, administrators, accountants and others who advise nursing homes, home health agencies, assisted living facilities and other long term care providers will not want to miss this important program.

At this year's program, attendees can select to participate in the interactive workshops on Wednesday morning for the chance to talk with colleagues. This year an interactive session designed specifically for in-house counsel at long term care facilities has been added. Breakout sessions on more than 30 different topics will provide an excellent opportunity to hear from industry experts on timely issues facing Long Term Care counsel and providers. Topics include:

  • Recent Trends in the Level of Medicaid Payments and Federal Court Challenges
  • Ancillary Services in Long Term Care
  • Legal and Regulatory Issues for End of Life Care
  • Nursing Homes and Top Executives Under Fire
  • Business and Risk Management Issues in Assisted Living
  • Mergers and Acquisitions and Financing Climate for Senior Care Facilities
  • Quality of Care and the False Claims Act
  • Winning Strategies for Effectively Defending Long Term Care Cases
