Travel Information
AHIP is pleased to announce that it has special discount agreements with United Airlines and Avis for the 2007 conferences.
Airport Information
The Westin Diplomat is located between Miami and Ft Lauderdale airports.
Airline
Airline travel has changed considerably with the advent of airfares on the Internet and the re-emergence of low cost carriers such as AirTran, JetBlue, Midwest, SouthWest, and Spirit Airlines.
Although AHIP has made every effort to secure a special discount agreement with United Airlines, for our 2007 events we recommend you investigate other airlines by calling them directly or by checking their pricing online. Compare those airfares with the United discounted rates and make your decision.
United Airlines
In order to get the most accurate United Airlines discounted meeting rate, contact United Airlines Meeting Desk at (800) 521-4041. PLEASE REFER TO THE AHIP MEETING CODE 550 TJ when you speak to the United Airlines representative.
The Meeting Desk is open from Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am-8:00 pm ET. Discounts apply on United, United Express, TED by United, or United code share flights operated by US Airways, US Airways Express, and Air Canada.
Car Rental
Avis
AHIP has negotiated a discount program with Avis. The program is designed to provide the lowest rate based on your itinerary whether it is the meeting rate or a promotional rate including an additional discount. To obtain that rate, contact Avis at (800) 331-1600. Identify yourself as an AHIP conference participant and provide the AHIP discount ID number D 833353. Please feel free to compare and base your decision on rates quoted directly from Avis with what you may find on the Internet.
Hertz
To take advantage of the discount program AHIP has negotiated with Hertz, contact Hertz at (800)654-2200. Identify yourself as an AHIP conference participant and provide the following two numbers: the CDP #1571581 (which is the convention rate code) and the PC #959361 which is an additional coupon (ranging from $5-$25) that can be applied to car rentals at certain locations.
