Arbitration Training

October 9, 2007
Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City Hotel
Arlington, VA

Program Description

Arbitrating a Healthcare Dispute is a one-day training session in which participants review the practical elements of alternative dispute resolution through an in-depth examination of arbitration. This training describes:
  • The process of an arbitration from case intake to award
  • Current applicable arbitration law
  • The legal and ethical issues in arbitration
  • The challenges that AHLA arbitrators typically confront, including due process protocols, economic and billing issues, establishing terms of reference, and navigating challenges to the arbitral award

The session provides important training if one wants to be an Arbitrator with Health Lawyers’ ADR Service or represent clients in arbitration. No other training service provides the type of unique skills-development workshop designed to develop, strengthen and enhance your knowledge, skills and expertise as an alternative dispute resolver.

Attendance is limited to 50 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. We're sorry, we cannot accommodate onsite registrations.

Training will be conducted by the internationally-recognized mediator, arbitrator, administrator and trainer, Jerry P. Roscoe of JAMS, who consistently receives outstanding evaluations from attendees.

CLE Information

This session will be worth approximately 6.5 credits for 60-minute states and approximately 7.8 credits for 50-minute states. There are no prerequisites required to register for this session.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy: Cancellations must be received in writing no later than September 17, 2007 in order to receive a refund of registration fees, minus a $200 administrative fee.
