Trudi Noel Trysla is a peer recognized healthcare expert with over nineteen years experience providing legal counsel to hospitals, physicians, management policy committees, and business units. Trysla provides legal advice on a wide range of regulatory compliance and enforcement issues including Anti-Kickback and Stark, antitrust including clinical integration, corporate governance, privacy and security, False Claims Act, as well as general compliance/risk reduction strategies. She also advises on public policy issues affecting Fairview and its providers. Prior to joining Fairview in 2008, Trysla served as Legal Counsel for Mayo Foundation in Rochester, MN, where she provided legal advice to various Mayo entities and served on numerous hospital and institutional committees. Her practice included a wide array of regulatory compliance issues, clinical and bioethical issues, HIPAA and medical records/confidentiality, fraud and abuse, and state and federal regulatory investigations as well as general and professional liability litigation. Trysla earned her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska.

Trysla has done significant work with Fairview’s care model redesign and accountable care organization development including public policy issues relative to the various legal and policy issues involved in the  Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. She recently presented at the Accountable Care Organization workshop held by the FTC, CMS, and OIG in October 2010 and again at the recent FTC workshop on ACO’s and antitrust in May 2011. Trudi is a frequent lecturer including on ACO/coordinated care transformation and development.
