Mr. Terrell is Associate General Counsel with HealthSouth Corporation, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to joining HealthSouth in June 2009, Mr. Terrell was a partner at the law firm of Balch & Bingham LLP in Birmingham, Alabama, where he practiced in the areas of healthcare law and labor and employment law.
Mr. Terrell’s practice focuses on medical and governing body bylaws, medical executive committees, the Americans with Disabilities Act, HIPAA privacy issues, labor and employment, and healthcare regulatory issues.
Mr. Terrell obtained his bachelor’s degree in history from the College of William & Mary in 1992 and his law degree from Washington and Lee University in 1995. While in law school, Chris was a notes & comments editor for the Washington and Lee Law Review. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar (including the health law section), the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Health Lawyers Association.
