Jeff Sconyers is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center, Seattle. He is past president of the Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys and founding co-editor-in-chief of the Washington Health Law Manual (first published 1996). He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Health Lawyers Association from 2001 to 2007, and was chair from 1999 to 2005 of its In-House Counsel Seminar program committee. He is a member of the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines, appointed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and is currently in his second term as Chair of the Commission. He is not a real lawyer but he plays one at his hospital. On a good day, he can spin gold from straw.
