As a summer associate in my firm's Jefferson City, Missouri office, I had the opportunity to work for long term care facilities and other health care providers. I enjoyed the challenges and complexity of the firm's state and federal regulatory health law practice. Previously, I was most interested in intellectual property law because I have an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. But by the end of the summer, I was sold on health law. Since joining the firm, I have been mentored by accomplished health lawyers who have encouraged me to develop in the practice and as a professional.
