Daniel Orenstein is Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of the Board of athenahealth, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHN), headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, a health information technology company that provides web-based revenue cycle management and electronic health record services to physician groups. Prior to joining athenahealth, Orenstein practiced in the areas of corporate, intellectual property, and health care law with law firms in Boston and Washington, D.C. He has written and presented on a number of topics involving health care law and technology. Orenstein received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American and Boston Bar Associations and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
