Dr. Mehta provides strategic leadership and direction for PHMI. He has worked in more than a dozen countries on health care consulting projects focused on the development of networked health care systems, integrated health care and education environments, and new regulatory and governance structures, providing strategic inputs and support at the key stages of the project development, implementation and operations.
Prior to joining PHMI, Dr. Mehta was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on working with clients in the health care industry. His international project experience began at Schepens Retinal Associates, for which he led the group’s international expansion into India.
Dr. Mehta received his MBBS and MS in ophthalmology from the University of Bombay. He completed his postgraduate clinical training at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and Schepens Eye Research Institute. He also holds a master’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Systems from Boston University, and has published and lectured extensively in his field. He is a clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School.
