Andrew R. McCumber, Esquire 

Andrew R. McCumber is a founding shareholder of McCumber Daniels Buntz Hartig & Puig PA with offices in Tampa, FL and Philadelphia, PA. McCumber Daniels offers a wide variety of litigation services—including nursing home, assisted living, hospital, medical malpractice, complex commercial, and general liability, along with appellate work.

Mr. McCumber received his BA from Duke University and earned his JD from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991. He is a Martindale Hubbell “AV” rated lawyer. He has been published in the Florida Bar Journal and is a highly respected presenter at conferences and conventions in Florida and throughout the U.S. Mr. McCumber was recognized by his peers as one of Florida Trend Magazine’s “Legal Elite” in civil trial practice in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Mr. McCumber was defense attorney advisor to Florida Lt. Governor Frank Brogan’s Task Force on the Availability and Affordability of Long-Term Care, and testified in December 2000, before a legislative panel on pending liability recommendations. He was the lead Legislative Draftsman for Florida Healthcare Association on Tort Reform issues during the 2001 Florida Legislative Session and was honored to be the first selected presenter on long term care litigation at the 2003 Florida Conference of Circuit Judges. Mr. McCumber continues to serve as Tort Counsel to Florida Healthcare Association and the Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association. He was selected by the Florida Association of Homes for the Aging to serve as Florida’s Representative on the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging’s National Legal Committee.
