Darren McCarty's practice focuses on complex commercial and financial litigation, which is complimented by his background in public accounting and business consulting.
Darren’s clients represent a variety of industries including financial services, technology, real estate, telecommunications, energy, health care, public accounting and insurance. He has also represented directors, officers and other individuals in a variety of actions. His litigation experience extends to securities, shareholder actions, accountant malpractice, banking, business disputes, non-compete and other employment agreements, real property, and insurance coverage and bad faith. Darren has represented clients in several appellate matters pending in both state and federal jurisdictions.
Prior to beginning private practice, Darren served as a law clerk to The Honorable Karen J. Williams of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Darren was formerly a CPA in the State of Texas, worked for a major accounting firm and was an international airline industry consultant.

In 1998, Darren graduated with a J.D. from the William & Mary School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the William and Mary Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He received his B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Texas in 1989.
Darren is admitted to the Texas Bar. He is also admitted to practice before numerous federal district courts and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.
