Shane has extensive experience providing financial and valuation solutions to the healthcare industry. He performs valuations for mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance and financial reporting, and serves as a financial consultant to healthcare companies.  He has partnered with hundreds of healthcare facilities on projects delivering industry leading analyses for non-profit and for-profit healthcare entities.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Wellspring, Shane served as an Associate in the Financial Consulting and Valuation Group at CBIZ/Valuation Counselors.

Representative examples of Shane’s engagement experience include:

  • Provided financial advisory and valuation services for a not-for-profit health system with the expansion of its surgical operations, including due diligence, advisory and equity buy-in agreement.
  • Provided valuation and due diligence services for a publicly traded healthcare company with physician syndication and business development initiatives.
  • Provided valuation and consulting services to a non-profit health system related to the acquisition of a 100 member physician practice.
  • Led a team through a facility life analysis resulting in an improvement of the hospital’s financial performance of over $1million.
  • Led facility life analysis, cost segregation and fixed asset management engagements for numerous large hospitals.
  • SFAS 141 purchase price allocation for a $250 million acquisition of a LTAC, SNF, and ALF operating company.
  • SFAS 142 impairment test for a $500 million hospital reporting unit for a privately held hospital operator.
  • SFAS 141 purchase price allocation for a $200 million acquisition of a group of hospitals for a publicly traded hospital operator.
