Alexis Slagle Gilroy is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Washington, DC, where she advises clients on a wide range of corporate, healthcare, and sustainable energy issues, including private debt and equity, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, governance issues, licensing requirements, management arrangements, project development, corporate practice of medicine, power purchase arrangements, loan guarantees, and other general and complex contractual arrangements.
Gilroy has substantial experience in the sustainable energy field and serves as the co-leader of the Firm's Sustainable Energy Group. She focuses on cleantech companies, assisting them with finance, government incentives, and utility relationships in addition to other corporate matters.
Having spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry, Gilroy is well versed in the practical and legal needs of healthcare companies and those providing services to healthcare companies. In 2010, Gilroy was accepted as a Population Health Associate (non-faculty affiliate) with the Jefferson School of Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University. Of note, Gilroy frequently counsels clients and speaks on matters involving the fast growing telemedicine and telehealth industry and is a member of the American Telemedicine Association.
Gilroy is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of Georgia. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the District of Columbia Bar, and the State of Georgia Bar.
