Todd Ebersole is Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel of OptumRx, a United Healthcare company. He is primarily responsible for providing legal guidance, advice and oversight on legal matters arising within Prescription Solutions.
Todd has extensive achievement in the areas of health care law, including advising health plan and insurance entities with considerable focus on all aspects of health plan contracting (provider, vendor and customer), regulatory and compliance, privacy, general corporate and some merger and acquisition, Securities and Exchange Commission filings and litigation management.
Prior to joining Prescription Solutions in 2006, he served as Senior Counsel at CIGNA HealthCare for seven years. He served four years as Counsel and Assistant Secretary at SafeGuard Health Enterprises, Inc. prior to joining CIGNA.
Todd has authored many articles on health law and has been published extensively, including Health Law Digest, Health Law Weekly, HMO & Health Plans Journal and Business Law Journal. Also, Todd has served as Chief Editor and Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s TIPS Medicine Law Committee. Since 2005 Todd has served as Vice Chairman of American Health Lawyers Association’s Payors, Plans, and Managed Care Practice Group.
Todd holds a BA degree in Political Science (Law & Public Policy) with a minor in Biological/Environmental Sciences from the University of Southern California, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University’s SCALE program.
Personal interests include surfing, skateboarding (pools/bowls) and stock trading.
