I did not expect to join the “family business” and become a health lawyer. Growing up with two health lawyers for parents, I took the world of health law for granted. However, after taking a position at Alice G. Gosfield and Associates, P.C. in 2003, I came to appreciate the essential role that health lawyers play in the health care system, and am proud to be a part of that. I have honed my knowledge of health law from that of a complete neophyte, to a solid health lawyer, and have come to love the work that we do. When the formation of the Young Professionals Council was announced, I jumped at the chance to get involved, having seen firsthand the importance and value of the AHLA as a professional resource, and wanting to expand the organization’s ability to help young health lawyers.
