Jamie M. Bennett attended the University of Rochester and received a BA in History and Political Science, then graduated cum laude from Georgetown Law School, where she was on the Journal of International Law Editorial Board. After law school Jamie was in private practice at Hogan and Hartson (now Hogan Lovells), where she concentrated on general commercial litigation. Jamie has been with the United States Attorney's Office for the past twenty years, originally in the Criminal Division, where she prosecuted white collar fraud, healthcare fraud, and narcotics cases, including drug-related murder and RICO cases against inner city drug gangs. Since 2004, Jamie has been in the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Section of the Civil Division within the United States Attorney's Office, focusing almost entirely on investigations of healthcare fraud cases.
