Alan J. Arville is an associate with Ober|Kaler's Health Law Group. His practice focuses on transactional and regulatory issues for the health care industry, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, corporate governance, managed care contracting, fraud and abuse, Medicare Part D compliance, tax exemption and health care licensing. His clients include regional and national pharmacy chains, health care systems and long term care providers.

A substantial portion of Alan's practice involves structuring, negotiating and implementing various health care transactions, including acquisitions of national health care companies, ambulatory surgical center joint ventures, in-store health care retail clinics, and transactions between health care providers and vendors and suppliers. Alan regularly advises retail pharmacies (chain pharmacies and large retailers with pharmacy operations) on a diverse array of transactions and compliance issues, including Medicare Part D compliance. In addition, Alan regularly advises nonprofit governing boards and board committees on tax-exemption law issues, conflicts of interest, bylaws preparation, and general corporate governance.Selected as one of the “Outstanding Young Healthcare Lawyers for 2008” by Nightingale’s Healthcare News, Alan is the author of numerous articles and is a frequent speaker on health care topics. Alan served AHLA as a participant in the 2010 class of the Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group's Leadership Development Program.
