William S. Hall was the founder of Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, the firm I work for today. Mr. Hall once told me that the reason he enjoyed practicing in health care was because he felt good knowing that he helped clients make decisions for the right reasons. It was Mr. Hall's dedication to health care and the practice of law that ultimately led me to health law. After receiving my undergraduate degree at DePauw University, I graduated from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis where I completed the Health Law Concentration. While in law school, I served as both vice-president and president of the Health Law Society and was actively involved with the William and Christine Hall Center for Law and Health. I currently chair the Indianapolis Bar Association's Health Law Section Committee, I am the Co-Chair of the Alumni Steering Committee for the William and Christine Hall Center for Law and Health, and I am actively involved in recruiting for my firm through on-campus interview programs. At Hall Render, I focus my practice on corporate transactional law including hospital acquisitions, physician practice acquisitions and physician/hospital joint ventures.
