Practicing in health care was my fate. I started out in college as a pre-med student and after finishing the curriculum realized that I loved over analyzing and law school was a better fit. has been an associate at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP since August 2009. I continued my interest in health care by obtaining a health law certificate and Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 2007. In 2007, I began building my health law career at the Illinois Department of Public Health where I advised the State on regulatory matters related to nursing homes, hospitals and other health care facilities and drafted administrative rules. In 2009, I joined Hinshaw and Culbertson LLP where I advise health systems, practitioners and health care facilities on regulatory and corporate governance matters. I am an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois Association of Health Care Attorneys and the Indian American Bar Association. There is no doubt in my mind that health care is the place to be.
