Tim Adelman joined the firm in March 2003, after graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law with Honors and completing his MBA at the Robert H. Smith School of Business (University of Maryland). Prior to attending law school, Tim attended Franklin & Marshall College, graduating with Honors.

Tim handles a broad range of issues for the firm's clients, including litigation and transactional work. He represents physicians and hospitals in professional and general liability lawsuits. His transactional practice includes negotiating purchase agreements for physicians buying and selling their practices; assisting in Stark audits for hospitals; advising clients on various regulatory issues, including Stark and HIPAA; and advising clients on various ethical issues, including right to consent to treatment.

Tim represents nurses and physicians before their respective boards regarding licensing issues. He also assists in contract negotiations.

In addition to his healthcare practice, Tim works with small businesses, acting in a general counsel capacity. He represents small businesses in litigation, such as the enforcement of contractual obligations and general liability claims. He also assists in negotiating contracts with various vendors and provides advice on employee issues.
