Get the best view of Seattle… from the perspective of a local. Be escorted around town by a friendly and informative Seattleite who will provide historical background of the area, point out interesting landmarks, as well as give insider tips on special shopping and sightseeing areas.

This walking tour begins at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. Guests will be led by a knowledgeable guide to historic Pioneer Square, Seattle's oldest residential area, now a major visitor attraction with restaurants, galleries and lively clubs. From Pioneer Square guests will walk alongside Seattle’s bustling waterfront and will explore the Olympic Sculpture Park. Guests will be amazed with the park’s art installations and landscape design. The Olympic Sculpture Park features artwork from the Seattle Art Museum’s collection of sculpture, works built into the fabric of the park and temporary installations.

Next, guests will travel through Belltown, Seattle’s trendy neighborhood. Belltown features artist lofts and new highrises, combined with upscale restaurants and clubs. A popular hang out for young Seattle residents, Belltown is the best of bohemian and chic!

The final stop on this walking tour is Pike Place Market. Known for its exciting sights, sounds and aromas, Pike Place Market began on August 17, 1907 and has remained a vital part of Seattle's social and economic fabric for over 100 years. This nineacre historic district hosts an estimated nine million visitors each year who come to experience a feast for the senses and to shop for a diverse array of products. Guests will be given time to shop and explore this fascinating area.

This tour is complimentary and open to all guests. Please sign up for this tour on the registration form. A light jacket and comfortable walking shoes are advised. The tour is 3.8 miles long.

6:30-9:30 pm | Reception at the Museum of Flight*
sponsored by AHLA Member Law Firms/Organizations
Don't miss the evening at this spectacular museum. Attendees and their guests will have access to the entire collection housed in the Great Gallery and the Red Barn for the most interactive air and space experience you’ll find. The Great Gallery provides an exclusive evening in one of Seattle's most spectacular settings. The six-story tall glass and steel structure gracefully suspends more than 20 full-size aircraft from its ultra-modern frame. The Red Barn, with its warm wood tones and historic exhibits, reflects the romantic early days of aviation. The two-story barn is the historic birthplace of the Boeing Airplane Company. A brand-new 58,000 square-foot addition to the museum, the two floors of the Personal Courage Wing contain dramatic, interactive exhibits highlighting twenty-eight stunning World War I and World II fighter planes.

At the Museum of Flight, you don’t have to be a passive observer, during the reception the X-Pilot simulator puts you in the pilot seat of a virtual F-18 Hornet or P-51 Mustang. These simulators are full-motion, allowing for unlimited loops, rolls, and other aerobatic gyrations. The 4D-X simulator seats 13 passengers, taking them on an exciting WWII scouting mission with special environmental effects.

The event will include a buffet dinner and drinks and provide a wonderful evening with AHLA members and friends. This event can be sponsored by any law firm or organization, if you are interested in being a sponsor of this reception contact Valerie Eshleman.
