This year's featured speaker will be William H. Gates, Sr, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The plenary session also includes an Annual Meeting highlight: Year in Review. This session provides a comprehensive look at significant statutory, regulatory and case law developments from the past twelve months and discuss their practical implications. There are more than 35 sessions on a broad range of health law topics in the areas of fraud and abuse, antitrust, tax, hospital issues, payor and plan issues, physician issues, business transactions, life sciences, and reimbursement. More information on the program schedule will be available this spring.
In response to many requests from our members, AHLA is going green for our in-person programs. We are trying to reduce the amount of paper we use at our programs. This is both an effort at responsible environmental conservation, and an effort to increase the timeliness of the materials provided to our attendees.
We will not automatically be printing binders for everyone. All materials will be available on a website prior to the program and handed out on CD at the program. For those who still do want the binder they will be available for an additional fee; please order on the registration form.
