Social Events
Throughout the Annual Meeting, the numerous social events will
provide attendees many opportunities to meet and network with other
attorneys and health professionals from around the country as well as to
enjoy some of what makes San Francisco so great. Adult, teen and youth
guests are also welcome to participate in the variety of daily
activities that have been planned.

Meeting. Attendees, faculty and registered adult, teen and youth guests

Monday, June 30
Exercise Classes - sponsored by Deloitte Financial

Start your day off with an early morning fitness class. This year AHLA
will offer two different classes. Choose from yoga and cardio something
class. Both classes will have limited attendance. All participants
will receive a complimentary t-shirt. Please sign up on the
registration form to ensure you will have a place in the class you wish
to take and note your t-shirt size.

Racial and Ethnic Diversity (RED) Reception

AHLA's Advisory Council on Racial and Ethnic Diversity will host it's
RED Reception at this year's Annual Meeting. Join us for another
relaxing and informal meeting with colleagues and friends who not only
share your interest in healthcare law and policy, but also your
commitment to furthering the Association's diversity efforts and
initiatives. This year, we are honored to have this event sponsored in
cooperation with Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Please indicate

New Member/First Time Attendee Reception -

If you have recently joined AHLA, are attending your first Annual
Meeting or have been a member of the Association for awhile and want to
find out more about the benefits of membership, including what these
Practice Groups are that you keep hearing about, plan to attend this
special reception. You'll meet Practice Group leaders and Board members,
make new friends and learn more about the Association at this informal
reception. Afterwards, we hope you will join us for the reception at San
Francisco City Hall. Please indicate on the registration form if you

We invite you to join AHLA at the elegantly restored historic landmark,
San Francisco City Hall. It is a fabulous showcase with rich history and
rooms like no other venue in San Francisco. City Hall is a destination
and tourist attraction known world-wide. The Beaux Arts symbol of civic
pride originally opened in 1915. It reopened in January 1999 after a
$300 million seismic retrofitting and remodeling. Its gold dome exceeds
that of the United States Capitol by 20 feet.
The Monday night reception at the Annual Meeting is an important
annual social event and this year will include the opportunity for
attendees to sample a variety of wines from Dry Creek Valley. There will
also be a special activity and buffet for children. As always, the
reception will provide the perfect setting for AHLA members and their
guests to gather as a community to enjoy each other's company.
All attendees, faculty, and registered adult, teen and youth guests
are welcome to attend. Transportation will be provided between the
Marriott and City Hall. Dinner will be provided. Dress for the evening
will be business casual. Individual tickets may also be purchased for
this event.

Reception Featuring The Glide Ensemble -

The 100+ member Glide Ensemble takes Sunday Celebrations to another
level. Clapping, swaying, and blasting out the spirit of empowerment,
the choir embodies Glide's infectious message of diversity, acceptance,
and unconditional love. Led by director John F. Turk Jr., the Glide
Ensemble shakes the walls and raises spirits. Whether they are singing
jazz, blues, spirituals or gospel, the Ensemble resonates with the
jubilant sounds of transformation. The Glide Ensemble was featured in
the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness and appeared on Late Night With
Conan O'Brien when the show originated from San Francisco for one week
last year.
The Glide Ensemble will perform for AHLA attendees at the Marriott.
You do not want to miss this event. All attendees, faculty and
registered adult, teen and youth guests are welcome. Individual tickets
may also be purchased for this event.
The reception will start with drinks, light hors d'oeuvres and
dessert at 8:00 pm. The Glide Ensemble will take the stage at 9:00 pm
and perform a one-hour show. Following the performance, please stay and
continue to network and enjoy dessert and drinks.
